What is Circo del Son?
Circo del Son is inspired by Cirque du Soleil: percussion, circus and dance share the same show. The group splits into three teams — Drum-Team, Circus-Team and Dance-Team — and each one rehearses with a specialist artist in its own space, without seeing or knowing what the others are preparing.
The final show is the big surprise: for the first time, the three teams come together on stage and perform a show that nobody has seen in full until that moment.

- 3 specialist artists (Drum-Team, Circus-Team, Dance-Team)
- Costumes and make-up optional, included
- Lighting, professional sound and special effects
Optional

BENEFITS OF CIRCO DEL SON
What your team gains from Circo del Son
Cross-discipline cohesion
Each sub-group depends on the others for the show to work. The interdependence is real, not simulated.
Two layers of cohesion
Cohesion is built within the sub-group and across the three groups. Double the impact.
Managing fear and change
Circo del Son invites participants to face stage fright and the unknown in a safe environment. Each person manages pressure, co-ordination under uncertainty and improvisation — key skills for organisational change.
Non-verbal communication
In Circo del Son, each team has to co-ordinate without words: using only the body, the rhythm and eye contact. An experience that trains active listening, reading the room and non-verbal co-operation.

How Circo del Son works
Three teams. One secret rehearsal. One show.
Drum-Team: They learn the rhythmic patterns of Brazilian percussion — surdos, tamborines, repiniques. They are the sonic engine of the final show.
Circus-Team: They discover juggling, acrobatics and balance, guided by a circus artist. No previous experience needed.
Dance-Team: They create an expressive choreography with a professional dancer. Movement, energy and physical storytelling.
The three teams rehearse in their own space, without seeing what the others are doing. The surprise is part of the show.
At the close, the three teams come together and perform the full show for the first time: the Drum-Team brings the rhythm, the Circus-Team the visual impact, the Dance-Team the storytelling. All with lighting, professional sound and special effects included. A moment the team remembers for months.
Circo del Son step by step
The master of ceremonies guides the group through a short reflection on how first impressions can mislead us. How many times have we assumed something would be complicated, pointless or impossible, only to discover afterwards that it was a great opportunity?
Participants are given instruments and split into sections according to their role: the surdos keep the pulse, the tamborines add drive and the agogôs bring in the nuances that are essential to cohesion. Each person learns their rhythmic pattern with no previous experience needed.
Once everyone has mastered their individual rhythm, the next challenge is to bring the sections together so the team sounds as one. Participants experience in real time how important active listening is, how every role, however small, is essential to collective success, and how non-verbal communication and synchronisation build trust and flow within the team
The moment comes to break the barrier between theory and action. All the participants come together in one great batucada, feeling the power of rhythm and collective energy.
The master of ceremonies leads a reflective close on the experience, highlighting how the team moved from initial scepticism to flow and confidence. The group reflects on how this mindset can carry over into working life, helping them face challenges with confidence and as a team.

Logistics and location
We travel to wherever you are
We take care of everything; all we need is a space and we bring the rest. The most important thing is making sure the people leading the activity can be seen and heard, so that everyone can get the most out of it.
We run activities across Spain, including Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Alicante, Seville, the Balearics and the Canaries. And if you are outside our borders, we can come to you there too! We travel to wherever the event is being held with everything the activity needs.
Indoors or Outdoors?
The activity adapts to both. For large groups we recommend running it indoors, in an open-plan or amphitheatre-style room where everyone can see and hear the person leading the activity.
Standing or seated?
The exercise starts seated if the space requires it, but the real magic happens standing up. To understand and connect with the team’s rhythm, moving together is essential.
Sound
For groups of more than 35 people indoors, and ALWAYS outdoors, a sound system would be needed (with a headset or lapel mic) to make sure everyone can follow the instructions clearly.

// Frequently asked questions about Circo del Son
How long does Batucada Team Building last?
The usual length is 60-90 minutes. We also run short 20-minute versions (an energiser for conventions) or long ones of up to 120 minutes with a closing performance. We adapt it to the timing of your event.
How many people does it work for?
From 5 to over 500. We organise the group into rhythm sections so that every person has a clear and indispensable role.
Is musical experience needed?
- No. It is designed for people with no experience: we work with simple patterns by section and the group progresses quickly towards a joint result.
What does the activity include?
Specialist trainers, one instrument per participant (surdos, tamborines, agogôs), a sound system if required, and travel. Optionally: 4K or drone video.
Indoors or outdoors?
It can be run indoors or outdoors. For large groups we recommend a space where everyone can see and hear the facilitator clearly
Do we need a sound system?
For more than 35 people indoors and always outdoors, we recommend sound with a mic (headset or lapel) to make sure everyone can follow the instructions.
Is it done standing or seated?
It can start seated if the space demands it, but the moment of greatest connection is usually standing, because the body helps synchronise the team.
Can it be tailored to company objectives and values?
Yes. We can steer the reflective close towards a specific message (collaboration, focus, attitude, change) and adapt the exercise to your team culture.
How is the activity booked?
The booking is confirmed with a 50% deposit.
