Musical Bingo Team Building for Companies | The classic reinvented with team challenges

// Music and collaboration

What is Musical Bingo Team Building for companies?

Musical Bingo Team Building is the classic bingo reinvented: every time a song on the card comes on, the team does not simply tick it off, it has to complete a musical challenge to validate it. Sing the chorus, dance for 15 seconds, get the trivia right or solve a mime. The group decides, organises itself and backs each other up.

It is not a raffle with background music: it is real team building dressed up as bingo. Music all the way through, constant participation and guaranteed fun for groups of any profile.

This team building for companies activity builds cohesion, breaks the ice within minutes and works perfectly for conventions, kick-offs and events where you want the group to connect effortlessly.

BENEFITS OF MUSICAL BINGO

What your team gains from Musical Bingo

It breaks the ice

Familiar music gets the group going straight away. The initial self-consciousness dissolves into laughter and shared fun almost before you notice.

Genuinely inclusive

Nobody needs to be able to sing, or dance, or have a good ear. Every challenge is designed so that any profile on the team can take part.

Energy without the effort

Mixed ages, varying levels of fitness, formal or casual dress. Musical Bingo energises the group with no physical effort required.

Real collaboration

The luckiest team does not win; the team that co-ordinates best wins. And that difference changes everything in the group dynamic.

We are not an agency: you work directly with professional musicians

There are no middlemen here. We are not an agency that subcontracts the activity. We are the very team that designs and runs it. In many team building proposals, whoever sells the activity is not the one who delivers it. In our case it is.

We have been working with groups for over 20 years, combining musical and teaching experience so that every participant understands, enjoys and forms part of the result.

That lets us adapt the Musical Bingo approach to the type of event, the moment the team is in and the message you want to convey.

And because you work with us directly, the process is quicker, clearer and free of unnecessary mark-ups.

How Musical Bingo Team Building works

The activity is designed so that any group, even one that believes it “is not musical”, can have a good time from the very first challenge through to the closing photo and the collective energy at the end.

Companies that have already lived the experience

Ideal for kick-offs, conventions and company celebrations

Musical Bingo Team Building works particularly well at kick-offs, conventions, end-of-year parties, company dinners, motivational days and corporate events where the aim is genuine fun and constant participation with no physical effort.

It suits both small groups and groups of up to 200 people, and can be run as the main activity of 60-90 minutes or as an energiser within a wider agenda. The music is the setting; the collaboration is the content.

It was a spectacular experience! We had a great time and the facilitators were spot on for the kind of activity it was. We had a great time and it even felt too short! We’d do it again!!

Iratxe Rosado

We are a small company but it was great fun, far more than we expected. We had a brilliant time, we started off with humour and laughter and finished on a real high with a great atmosphere. Thank you so much for everything!

Rocío González

Aitana came to teach us how to do a Maori Haka to close an event and it was WONDERFUL. A thousand thanks for the energy she brought, the empowerment and everything we learned. From now on I think we’ll be dancing the Haka every Monday to start the week with energy 🔥🔥🔥

Nerea Hernández Rivas

We got in touch with Drum Team for our internal company event, the activity was HAKA and it was a great call. We got the team working together and getting to know each other with no embarrassment at all. Thank you very much!

From Self-Consciousness to Team

Self-consciousness vs Fun

That initial self-consciousness is the team’s real ceiling. It is only natural: when somebody hears “musical bingo” they think of a raffle, not of singing in front of their colleagues. The unknown breeds resistance; it makes us question whether we will be up to it, whether it makes any sense, whether we will end up looking foolish. But there is another way of seeing it…

✖ “I don’t sing. Not even drunk am I doing that.”
✖ “This is for extroverts. I keep my head down.”
✖ “Bingo? Seriously? That’s what my grandparents do on Sundays.”
✖ “I don’t know any 80s songs, I’m going to look bad.”
✖ “And what if I get the dancing challenge? I can’t see myself doing that.”

These thoughts are the voice of the fear of looking foolish, not the voice of the team. And the problem is not what they are thinking: it is that while they are thinking it, they are not taking part. While they are not taking part, the event does not work. And while the event does not work, the company’s investment drains away.

That is why Musical Bingo is not designed as an open karaoke where everyone has to prove something individually. It is designed the other way round: the unit of play is the team, not the person. When a song comes on, the team decides within seconds who takes on the challenge. If one person on the team does not want to sing, there are another 5 possible challenges for that same song. Individual self-consciousness stops being a brake once the group hands out the roles according to what each person is actually good at.

… With shared fun. In Musical Bingo Team Building, participants experience at first hand the shift in mindset that happens when they move from self-consciousness to team:

✔ “I don’t have to sing, whoever wants to does it — I chip in on the trivia.”
✔ “My group covers me, I cover everyone else.”
✔ “This isn’t about knowing songs, it’s about organising ourselves quickly.”
✔ “I’m laughing with colleagues I normally only talk to about work.”
✔ “I didn’t even notice 90 minutes had gone by.”

And this is where the real magic of Musical Bingo appears: the exercise forces the group to make quick decisions, hand out roles and back each other up. Exactly the same skills a team needs day to day at work, but trained in a setting that is safe, enjoyable and free of pressure to perform.

The introvert on the team discovers they are a monster at music trivia. The extrovert shines in the dancing challenge. The informal leader emerges, organising who does what. The newest recruit fits into the group without anyone having to explain it to them. All of that happens naturally while the music plays, with no need for coaches, forced exercises or trust falls.

That is why it works so well at kick-offs, conventions and celebrations: because it creates real bonds between the people on the team in very little time, without ever feeling like “team building”. And at the end of the event, what they remember is not the activity: they remember who they discovered on their own team.

Logistics and location

We travel to wherever you are

We take care of everything; all we need is a space and we bring the rest: 1 musician, 1 host, 1 DJ and a full sound system. The most important thing is making sure the host can be seen and heard, so that every team can follow the instructions and get the most out of it.

We run Musical Bingo across Spain, including Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Alicante, Seville, the Balearics and the Canaries. And if you are outside our borders, we can come to you there too! We travel to wherever the event is being held with everything the activity needs.

Indoors or outdoors?

For Musical Bingo we recommend indoors whenever possible. The acoustics are key so that everyone can hear the songs on the card and the host’s instructions. If the event is outdoors, we assess it beforehand and design a plan B with cover and shade.

Musical Bingo works both seated (round tables, dinner style) and standing in teams. Seated with cards on the table is the most popular format for company dinners and celebrations; standing creates more energy but needs room for each team to have its own area.

Professional sound system included (speakers + microphones). We tailor the playlist to the profile of the group: 80s hits, 90s, Spanish pop, international, classic rock or a themed mix. The props (wigs, glasses, hats) and the prizes (corporate or experiential) can also be personalised to your brand.

We'll help you shape your Musical Bingo (free video call)

Every event is different. A kick-off is not the same as a convention, a company dinner or an end-of-year celebration.

That is why we offer a short, free video call in which we help you define the approach for your Musical Bingo: duration, format, musical theme, props and how it fits within your event.

Our aim is not just to run the activity, but to make sure it makes sense within what you want to achieve with your team.

// Frequently asked questions about Musical Bingo Team Building

The usual duration is between 60 and 90 minutes, although it can also be run as a short energiser or in a longer format if combined with dinner, prizes or an after-party with a DJ.

Not in the slightest. That is precisely the point: the challenges are designed so that anyone can take part without knowing any music, without singing in tune and without feeling self-conscious. The introverts shine at the trivia, the more outgoing at the physical challenges, and everyone adds something to the team. If your team thinks it “is not musical”, it is probably the perfect group for this activity.

It works perfectly for up to 200 people. What shapes the experience is the space: every participant needs to be able to see the host and, above all, to see the other teams taking on their challenges. For larger groups we assess whether to run an adapted format.

1 professional musician + 1 host + 1 DJ + a full sound system (speakers + microphones) + bingo cards themed around your company + basic materials and props for the activity + technical co-ordination of the event + travel within mainland Spain included. Optional extras: full props (wigs/glasses/hats), personalised prizes, HD keepsake video and an after-party with a live DJ.

We recommend indoors whenever possible. The acoustics are key so that everyone can hear the songs on the card and the host’s instructions. If the event is outdoors, we assess it beforehand and design a plan B with cover and shade.

Yes. We adapt the challenges, the trivia and the hosting to the language of the group. We work in Spanish, English and Catalan, so an international or mixed team is no problem. Music is universal and the format is easy to grasp without much explaining.

Yes, above all in two ways: the music (a themed playlist to suit the profile of the group: 80s hits, 90s, Spanish pop, international, classic rock, or a bespoke mix) and the props (wigs, glasses and accessories that can be aligned with your brand or the theme of the event). We also personalise the cards with your logo, and the prizes can be corporate or experiential.

It is energetic but not physically demanding. People laugh, move about and take part, but nobody has to run or make any physical effort. It works just as well with a young team at a sales kick-off as with a more senior group at a board-level convention.

Both. As a main activity it works perfectly at conventions, kick-offs and team cohesion events of 1-2 hours. As a complement it is ideal within longer programmes: it breaks the ice after lunch, closes a technical day with energy or opens the company dinner on the right note.

The price depends on several factors: number of participants, location and the extras chosen (full props, personalised prizes, keepsake video, after-party). Request a proposal and we will send you the exact quote the same day.
